Salon
Groom What is all included in a groom? The process will start with your dog being bathed, while in the tub his/her anal glands will be expressed. We offer other services during the bathing process, for example: teeth brushing, oatmeal shampoo, or even a blueberry facial/wash. You can find out more about these services in the services section of the grooming page. Following the bath, they will be brushed out while being blown dry. When they are completely dry, a groomer will clean their ears, trim their nails, and begin to give them a haircut of your choice.
Bath & Tidy What is a bath and tidy? A Bath and Tidy is exactly what it sounds like: a bath with a tidy. The process will start with your dog being bathed, while in the tub his/her anal glands will be expressed. We offer other services during the bathing process, for example: brushing their teeth, oatmeal shampoo, or even a blueberry facial/wash. You can find out more about these services in the services section of the grooming page. Following the bath, they will be brushed out while being blown dry. When they are completely dry a groomer will clean out their ears, trim their nails, and begin to tidy up their face, feet, and sanitary areas.
Nail Trim Can I bring in my dog to get its nails clipped without setting up an appointment? Yes. We ask that you give us a call at (281) 370-3647 beforehand to make sure that a groomer will be available to clip your dogs nails. It will be $12 per dog.
Fleas My dog/cat has fleas, can I still bring him/her in to get groomed? Absolutely! When he is brought in we will give him a Capstar tablet, which will kill all adult fleas on your dog/cat. The cost of tablet will be passed along to the client. We do not do flea dips.
Duration How long does it take to get a bath and tidy or groom? It all depends on the time you drop off your pet, as well as how busy we are on the specific day. When you set up your appointment ask, and we will be able to give you an estimated time frame.
Express Service Does A Dog’s Life offer an express service? Yes. We offer a 2-hour express groom, which adds an additional $10 to the groom price. We do not recommend this for new clients as it can be stressful on the dog being its first time to our salon, as well as the dog not being able to rest in its kennel for more then a few minutes at a time.
Hours What time does A Dog’s Life open/close? On Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday we open at 7:30 am. On Wednesday and Saturday we open at 8:30 am. On Friday we open at 7:00 am. During the week we close at 5:30 pm and on Saturday we close at 4:00 pm.
Pricing How much will it cost to get a bath and tidy or a groom? Our pricing depends on the breed, size, and hair. Please give us a call at (281) 370-3647 and we will be able to give you an estimate. All prices given will be estimates and may change once we are able to see the dog. Prices do not include any extra fees for services.
Boutique
Special Orders Can A Dog’s Life specially order something for me? Yes, if we don’t have your size or we are out of stock, we can order it for you when we place our next order with the company. When the item(s) arrives, we will give you a call and you can come pick it up.
Sales Are there any sales going on? You can keep up to date with our sales and other information that we send out via email by joining our mailing list (You can enter your email at the top of this page, or on our front page). You can also view any sales going on by going to our front page and looking under our Welcome! message, if no sales are advertised we are currently not having a sale.
Dog Food Does A Dog’s Life sell any dog food? At this time we sell 5, 15, and 30 lb bags of dry Merrick dog food, as well as their 5.5 and 13.2 oz cans of wet food. We also sell Fruitables Weight Loss Supplement and Digestive Supplement cans.
Dog Treats Does A Dog’s Life sell any dog treats? Yes, we sell a variety of treats including (but not limited to) True Chews, Fruitables, Mini Naturals, Buddy Biscuits: Itty Bittys, Breathies, Terrabones, Pupcorn, and many Sams Yams treats, as well as a few of the Merrick chews including flossies, bully sticks (6 an 12 inch), and lamb filets. We do not sell any rawhide treats.
Grooming Supplies Does A Dog’s Life sell any grooming items? Yes, we sell a variety of grooming items including (but not limited to) colognes, designer slicker brushes and combs, Angel Eyes, Biogroom shampoo and conditioner, as well as PetzLife oral spray and gel.
