What is included in a groom?
Our grooming process starts with your dog being bathed, while in the tub his/her anal glands will be expressed.  (We offer other services during the bathing process, for example: teeth brushing, oatmeal shampoo, or even a blueberry facial/wash.) Following the bath, they will be brushed out while being blown dry. When they are completely dry, a groomer will clean and pluck their ears, trim their nails, and give them a full haircut of your choice.
What is a bath and tidy?
A Bath and Tidy is exactly what it sounds like: a bath with a tidy up. Our process starts with your dog being bathed, while in the tub his/her anal glands will be expressed. (We offer other services during the bathing process, for example: teeth brushing, oatmeal shampoo, or even a blueberry facial/wash.). Following the bath, they will be brushed out while being blown dry. When they are completely dry a groomer will clean and pluck their ears, clip their nails, and trim around the pads of their feet. The excess hair around the eyes and sanitary area will also be trimmed.
Can I bring in my dog to get its nails clipped without setting up an appointment?
Yes! We ask that you give us a call at (281) 370-3647 beforehand to make sure that a groomer will be available to clip your dogs nails. The cost is $12 per dog.
My dog/cat has fleas, can I still bring him/her in to get groomed?
Absolutely! When he/she is brought in we will give him/her a Capstar tablet, which will kill all adult fleas on your him/her. The Capstar is $10 and will be added to either the bath/tidy or groom.  We do not do flea dips.
How long does it take to get a bath and tidy or groom?
It all depends on the time you drop off your pet, as well as how busy we are on the specific day. When you set up your appointment the receptionist will be able to give you an estimated time frame. You can also set a specific time for your pet to be picked up at, we try our hardest to get them out by that time.
Does A Dog’s Life offer an express service?
Yes! We offer a 2-hour express groom, which adds an additional $10 to the groom price. We do not recommend this for new clients. It can be stressful on the dog/cat as it is the first time to our salon, and the dog may not be able to rest in its kennel for more then a few minutes at a time.
How much will it cost to get a bath and tidy or a groom?
Our pricing depends on the breed, size, and hair. Please give us a call at 281-370-3647 and we will be able to give you an estimate. All prices given will be estimates and may change once we are able to see the dog. Prices do not include any extra fees for services.
Can A Dog’s Life specially order something for me?
Definitely! If we don’t have your size or we are out of stock, we can order it for you when we place our next order with the company. When the item(s) arrives, we will give you a call and you can come pick it up.

Does A Dog’s Life sell any dog food?
At this time we sell 5, 15, and 30 lb bags of dry Classic Merrick dog food, 4, 12, and 25 lb Grain Free Merrick dog food. We also sell Merrick brand 5.5 and 13.2 oz canned wet dog food. (We heart Merrick Dog Food.)
Does A Dog’s Life sell any dog treats?
Yes! We sell a variety of treats including (but not limited to) Schnibbons, True Chews Beef and Chicken treats, Fruitables, Mini Naturals, Buddy Biscuits: Itty Bittys, Breathies, Terrabones, Pupcorn, and many Sams Yams treats, as well as a few of the Merrick bully sticks (6 and 12 inch), and lamb filets. We do not sell any rawhide treats.
Does A Dog’s Life sell any grooming items?
Certainly! We sell a variety of grooming items including (but not limited to) colognes, designer slicker brushes and combs, Angel Eyes, Biogroom shampoo and conditioner, as well as PetzLife oral spray and gel.
