Hello Everyone,

Well, I thought today was a good day to start blogging again.  Sorry for my absence, but I have been so busy doing nothing that time seems to fly.  I want to tell you about last night. My day at work was coming to an end and suddenly my owner decides it is time for me to get a bath.  So off to the tub I go to soak in blueberry scrub.  How embarrassing is that for a male.  But I do have to admit that I smell great and blind everyone’s eyes with my white coat.  After I get fluff dried by my favorite friend Delorice (she gives me the best treats) I begin to fall asleep on my plush towel. As I’m dreaming of treats , I am suddenly awaken to find out now I am going to get a haircut.  My mother had it all planned that I would be the one she would use to demonstrate to the stylists the finer points of grooming a Bichon.  How boring!!!!!!!!!  You know I could teach them this.  I have been groomed my whole life and I know all about grooming me.  I made sure they knew how dull I found this whole experience by closing my eyes and acting as if I were asleep.  It didn’t help much but I tried.  I am even posting a photo of me so you can see how great I look.  I know, I know I am beautiful.

AKA “Big Head”

My Mom got the sad news this morning that one of our dear sweet human clients passed away this weekend.  The girls were all so sad.  They talked about how long Mr. Hallbeck had been a client, how they looked forward to seeing him every week as much as his dogs and what a great sense of humor he had.  I never quite understood why he was such a big TCU fan (go Longhorns) but Mom explained that he graduated from, played football for and coached in 4 Cotton Bowls for TCU.  I guess that may be why.  May you Rest in Peace.  We will all miss you.

Hello Everyone,

In the past few weeks we have had a few of our beloved dog clients pass away. This is not only hard for the owner and those close to the family, but for those who groom him/her as well. I would like to personally send my condolences to those who have recently lost their “friends”. I also wanted to somehow incorporate this into our website. A place where we can remember our furry friends forever.

Thus, Doggie Heaven was “born”.

Dear Anxiety Filled Dogs,

These are a few photos of my thundershirt, Carol (my owner) had just put it on me, a few minutes after these were taken I was curled up in my corner falling asleep. That thundershirt sure is awesome! It hugs me and makes me feel very calm. If you’re afraid of thunder, get very anxious in the car, or pretty much anywhere else then the thundershirt may help! It’s soft, comes in blue and pink, and feels like someone is hugging me the entire time it’s on. Plus, as always, I look very cute in it.

A few days ago I saw my owner passing out questionnaires to everyone. Everyone but me. At first I figured that Carol just forgot to give me one, but the next day when everyone turned theirs back in I realized she didn’t forget. She completely ignored me! I have answers to your questions!

Sitting in my corner for the remainder of the day I came up with an idea: who needs Carol and her special questionnaire! I’ll create and answer my own questionnaire. It will be 10 times better!

How long have you been working for A Dog’s Life? Since we opened, I’ve always been the true boss

What’s your favorite breed? Bichon Frise

Who’s the most handsome dog you’ve ever seen? I don’t know his name. He’s white, fluffy, and I see him every time I lay on the grooming/drying tables.

How long have you known you wanted to be the King of A Dog’s Life? Somewhere around 6 years, as I said I’ve always been the true boss.

How did you get to be so handsome? Genetics. My father is the famous J.R., Westminister Best in Show Winner. Not to boast too much but I was quite the looker in my day.  Many judges thought so.

How do you always manage to look so cute? It’s just the way I look, even in the morning after a long nights rest I still look just as cute as I would after being groomed.

Do you have any children? Many, though I only live with one: Minnie

What’s your favorite television show? The Closer, I watch it with Carol. I’m very upset that this is the last season.

Apple or Microsoft? Apple, more specifically the MacBook Air. I’ve created this whole website with it.

Now, I know that was just about the best questionnaire that you’ve ever read. The questions and answers were flawless!
